Coast Transit buses serve Biloxi on five routes; the Gulfport-Biloxi airport has six airlines; Amtrak stops in Biloxi; golf carts are legal on approved streets.

Last checked Oct. 12, 2026. Facts on this page come from the Coast Transit Authority, the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport and the City of Biloxi’s traffic, golf cart and storm preparedness pages.

Most Biloxi trips are by car, along three main roads: Interstate 10 across the north of the city, I-110, which runs south from I-10 over the Back Bay to downtown, and U.S. 90, Beach Boulevard, along the Mississippi Sound. The Coast Transit Authority runs the buses, Amtrak stops in town, and Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport is next door in Gulfport.

Who to call

Main roads

  • I-10 crosses north Biloxi and Woolmarket. It is the city’s advice for leaving town without drawbridge delays, along with Cowan-Lorraine Road.
  • I-110 links I-10 with downtown Biloxi and U.S. 90; its bridge over the Back Bay is one of the coast’s drawbridges.
  • U.S. 90 (Beach Boulevard) runs the length of the beachfront, past the Biloxi Lighthouse and the casinos, and crosses the Biloxi Bay Bridge to Ocean Springs.
  • Pass Road and Popp’s Ferry Road are major city streets. Popp’s Ferry Road crosses the Back Bay on the Popp’s Ferry Bridge, a drawbridge, and is being extended south to U.S. 90.

Drawbridges open for boats, and the city warns that marine traffic can slow the Popp’s Ferry Bridge, especially before a storm; bridges stay closed to boats once sustained winds reach 35 mph. Current closures and projects are in our road construction guide.

  2. Pay the annual registration fee at the Police Department and put the decal on the left rear fender. Renewals need only a driver’s license and the fee.

Carts must have headlights, turn signals, brake lights, a horn, red reflectors, a parking brake, a windshield, seatbelts for every seat and a vehicle identification number.
