Mother’s Day 2027 is Sunday, May 9. Biloxi has no city Mother’s Day event, but the Biloxi Visitors Center holds its spring artisan festival in early May, and a handful of restaurants serve weekend brunch. No 2027 Mother’s Day menus or events had been announced as of Oct. 12; this page will add them in April.

Gift market: the Lighthouse Artisan Festival

The ninth annual Biloxi Lighthouse Artisan Festival was Saturday, May 9, 2026, the day before Mother’s Day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Biloxi Visitors Center, 1050 Beach Blvd. Nearly 60 artists and craftsmen sold jewelry, pottery, books and paintings, with food trucks outside. Admission was free and the festival ran rain or shine, inside the center and on its lawn.

Visitors could climb the 1848 Biloxi Lighthouse on free tours on the hour from 9 to 11 a.m., weather permitting, and see the Biloxi history museum and the films on Biloxi history and Hurricane Katrina inside. See the 2026 flyer (PDF).

In 2025 the festival was Saturday, May 3, and included Mother’s Day crafts for children, according to the city’s 2025 notice.

Through May 2026 the Visitors Center also displayed pottery made by East Biloxi Senior Center members.

Brunch on a Sunday

Brunch hours as each restaurant publishes them. Holiday menus and hours can differ; call ahead and book early.

Cora’s looks out on the Mississippi Sound from the White House Hotel’s veranda; its brunch menu runs from Gulf shrimp omelets to Shrimp Orleans over grits. Mary Mahoney’s Old French House, 110 Rue Magnolia, is closed Sundays, so a Mother’s Day meal there means Saturday, May 8. More options: our brunch guide.

• A museum visit. The Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum, 115 1st St., is open noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, 386 Beach Blvd., runs ceramics workshops and evening wheel classes; check its calendar.
• The beach. Biloxi’s sand beach runs along Beach Boulevard for miles.
• The next weekend: the Billy Creel Memorial Gulf Coast Wooden and Classic Boat Show was May 16-17, 2026, at the Schooner Pier Complex, 367 Beach Blvd., with schooner sails on the hour.
