Mississippi grades restaurants A, B or C. Of 628 open Biloxi food facilities, 518 had an A and 110 a B at their latest state inspection; none had a C.

Last checked Oct. 12, 2026. Grades come from the Mississippi State Department of Health’s food facility inspection search, searched for facilities with a Biloxi address on Oct. 12. The meaning of each grade is from the department’s inspection grades page.

Restaurants and other food businesses in Biloxi and the rest of Harrison County are inspected by the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), not by the city or county. Each inspection ends in a letter grade, A, B or C, which the facility posts for customers. The grade reflects whether critical violations, those most likely to lead to contamination or illness, were found and fixed.

Who to call

What the grades mean

Grade What the state says it means
A No critical violations were found.
B Critical violations were found but corrected during the inspection, under the inspector’s supervision. No further action is required.
C Critical violations were found and some or all were not corrected, or critical violations were repeated from the last inspection. All must be corrected within 10 days; the reinspection date is on the report.

If violations are not fixed in time, the state moves to suspend the facility’s permit. If an inspector finds an immediate public health hazard, the inspector closes the facility on the spot. The grading covers restaurants and other food facilities, including school cafeterias, day care centers and bars that sell food.

Method notes

  • These figures count facilities, not restaurants alone: the state’s list includes school cafeterias, caterers, bars with food, food trucks and bakeries.
  • The state’s city field reflects a facility’s address, so a few facilities with a Biloxi mailing address may sit just outside the city limits.
  • A grade describes a single inspection on a single day. A B means problems were found and fixed on the spot; it is not a failing grade.
  • A C is followed by a reinspection within 10 days; look at a facility’s full history in the state database before drawing conclusions.
  • We publish the grade counts, not a ranking of individual businesses.

How to look up a restaurant

  1. Open the MSDH inspection search.
  2. Type Biloxi in the city box, or part of the restaurant’s name, or both. You can also choose Harrison County from the county list.

You can also get weekly inspection results by email through the department’s free Public Health Report newsletter.

What this means for you

  • Look for the posted letter grade when you walk in.
  • A is clean; B means problems were found and fixed during the visit; C means a follow-up inspection is coming.
  • Report a problem through the state’s complaint form, not the city.
