Keesler Federal Park opens at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, for a free World Series watch party. 14 former Shuckers are on the Brewers and Rays rosters.

The Biloxi Shuckers will open Keesler Federal Park for a World Series watch party Tuesday, Oct. 27. Admission is free. Fans can watch the Milwaukee Brewers, the Shuckers’ parent club, with 12 players on the roster who came through Biloxi.

Gates open at 6:45 p.m. for the 7 p.m. first pitch, the team announced Oct. 21. The team’s flyer for the event says “free admission.”

What to expect

The team’s announcement lists:

  • Open seating. The concourse and seating bowl are open to the public.
  • Food and drink. Concessions are open all night.
  • Batting practice for members. Shuckers season ticket members get on-field batting practice from 6 p.m.

Keesler Federal Park is on Caillavet Street in downtown Biloxi.

Why Biloxi has a stake in this series

The Shuckers are the Brewers’ Double-A affiliate in the Southern League. Milwaukee won the first National League pennant in its history Oct. 15 and is in the World Series for the first time since 1982, the Shuckers said Oct. 16.

The Brewers meet the Tampa Bay Rays, and both teams carry former Shuckers. According to the team:

  • 14 former Shuckers are playing in the World Series: 12 with the Brewers and two with the Rays.
  • 12 of the 26 players on the Brewers’ National League Championship Series roster appeared for Biloxi at least once.
  • Jackson Chourio, a Shucker in 2022 and 2023, recorded the final out of the series. That came after a ninth-inning home run from David Hamilton, who played in Biloxi in 2021.
  • Cooper Pratt and Luis Lara both played for the Shuckers in 2025.
  • For the Rays, the American League Championship Series MVP, Freddy Peralta, played in Biloxi in 2016 and 2019. Starter Drew Rasmussen played there in 2019.

Before this year, Orlando Arcia, a 2021 Shucker who went on to play for the Atlanta Braves, was the only former Shucker to reach the World Series. With former Shuckers on both rosters, one is guaranteed to win a World Series for only the second time in franchise history, the team said.
