Spooky, but not too spooky

Rocky Horror. Biloxi Little Theatre calls its audience-participation screening of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” a Halloween tradition. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, and the film starts at 9 p.m., with a costume contest at intermission. It is R-rated and for ages 18 and older; outside props are not allowed, and a prop kit is sold with tickets. Tickets are on the theater’s ticket page.

Haunted house. In 2025 the West End Hose Co. No. 3 Fire Museum, the 1937 firehouse at 1046 Howard Ave., turned into “Haunted Fire House #13” from 6 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 24-25 and 30-31, according to the city’s 2025 Halloween list. The city had not listed it for 2026 as of Oct. 23. Call the museum at 228-435-6119 before you go.

Carnivals, costume contests and parties

  • Nativity BVM’s 68th annual Halloween Carnival has carnival games, a cake walk, food and a costume contest. Details: nativityBVM.org.
  • Boo on the Rue fills Rue Magnolia in the downtown arts district with a costume contest, music and a chili cook-off. In 2025 the party had prizes for adults, children and pets, and pets had to be on a leash.
  • Halloween Party with Fever Dream is Ground Zero Blues Club’s grown-up Halloween show on Friday, Oct. 30, at 814 Howard Ave. Tickets are on the club’s shows page.

A fall festival the same weekend

Fly Llama Brewing’s Llamapalooza is Saturday, Oct. 24, from 1 p.m. until sundown at 186 Bohn St. It is covered on our fall festivals and pumpkin patches page, and the whole weekend is on our things to do this weekend page.

  • Older kids and adults: Rocky Horror on Oct. 24 (18 and older) and Boo on the Rue on Oct. 29.
