Biloxi’s public schools are run by the Biloxi Public School District, from its central office at 160 St. Peter St. It has eight schools graded by the state, from a pre-K and kindergarten school to one high school, plus the Center for New Opportunities.

School districts do not follow the city limits. Parts of north Biloxi, including most of Woolmarket and the Cedar Lake area north of I-10, are in the Harrison County School District, and those homes are zoned for county schools such as Woolmarket Elementary and D’Iberville High. Inside the Biloxi district, only the elementary grades have zones, shown on the district’s attendance zone map (PDF), last revised July 18, 2011. Every district student then goes to Biloxi Upper Elementary for fifth and sixth grade, Biloxi Junior High and Biloxi High.

High schools are scored out of 1,000 points and the other schools out of 700, so compare a school only with schools of the same type. The state raised its standards this year and says 2025-26 grades set a new baseline that “cannot be compared” to earlier years, according to its guide to the system (PDF). The Biloxi Public School District as a whole earned an A, with 716 points, and the Harrison County School District an A, with 711.
